We are NOT Weapons of War (WWoW) is a French non-governmental organisation, registered under the French Law of 1901. Based in Paris, it is dedicated to the fight against conflict-related sexual violence worldwide. Founded in 2014 by international lawyer Céline Bardet, WWoW offers a global, holistic and effective response to the endemic use of rape in fragile environments via innovative and creative legal approaches. WWoW has been working for over 5 years on public advocacy around conflict-related sexual violence and international crimes.

For several years now, We are NOT Weapons of War has been developing the BackUp web-application with global aspirations. BackUp is a tool for reporting and identifying victims and for collecting, storing and analysing information on sexual violence perpetrated in the context of armed conflict. It gives a voice to victims and contributes to the collection of information that can be used as legal evidence.
